“Lunch” & Learn – Site Selection

Topic: Site selection consulting is the practice of identifying new locations for clients by considering multiple factors. Many firms view site selection as the assessment of land and/or existing structures but this only property evaluation. Full site selection has many additional facets and is the true beginning of the facility lifecycle. Site selection takes into consideration: material and transportation logistics studies, workforce evaluations, wage surveys, land/building evaluations, utility analysis, permitting, tax structures, legal, and incentive negotiations. Each of these areas are complex and requires an experienced professional to work through the process.
