SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn February 17
DESCRIPTION:Please join CMAA-SAC for our February 17 Lunch & Learn\nTopic: Innovation Helps Construction Programs Navigate the New Normal\nSponsored by: HeadLight \nThe pandemic has impacted virtually everything and infrastructure construction hasn’t been spared. Today we have new requirements for office teams to work at home\, field teams to complete their jobs while minimizing person to person interactions\, along with all-new physical documentation transfer challenges. We can also add a growing fear that a compromised quality assurance process due to onsite resource limitations risks early failures and shortened performance life cycles for expensive and critical infrastructure assets. \nThe unpredictable nature of today’s “New Normal” compels industry stakeholders to create a new rule book to continue the delivery of successful construction projects. To meet that challenge\, organizations are making critical construction program innovation investments enabling their remote workers to maintain their productivity. As a result\, their projects are thriving. \nThis session will introduce HeadLight\, a photo-based inspection technology leveraging mobile connectivity. Thanks to innovation like HeadLight the distance between the office and the construction site is shrinking. Besides tackling project documentation needs\, photo-based inspection technologies help all team members to work from the same objective set of visual information to resolve issues; everyone no longer has to visit the jobsite. And because inspectors using HeadLight have been proven to have a marked increase in the quantity and quality of data captured compared to the status quo construction processes\, managers benefit from an even better grasp of real-time project progress. \n \n  \nThe presentation will be comparable to AIA and will help you fulfill CEU’s for other organizations. Attendance Certificates will be made available to all attendees. Syllabus (1 hour CEU) \nAll proceeds will go towards funding the annual scholarships at our awards banquet in June. \nSpeaker Information: \nDevon King\, Strategic Account Manager\nHeadLight \nDevon King has over 10 years of experience in leading teams through the adoption and implementation of innovation. Before coming to HeadLight\, she was with Textron Aviation where she was an expert in flight simulation technology and aviation training. Now\, with HeadLight\, as Strategic Account Executive\, Devon supports state and local government and construction management firms. Her key focus is partnering with project teams to apply photo-based inspection technology to streamline construction project delivery. Devon is based outside of Tampa\, Florida and works with organizations in the South.
