All funds collected will be used to purchase needed items and all donations will be delivered to Hosea Feed The Hungry on November 16 in time for them complete the holiday boxes they are preparing for those in need. \nIn addition to the holiday boxes\, Hosea Feed The Hungry\, will still be feeding those in need for Thanksgiving\, but during the time of COVID-19\, the distribution and dining plan must change and they are working hard to adapt their methods to still meet the needs.

He served as the assistant general manager/program executive at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. In this role\, he directed full-cycle program management of the capital improvement program\, valued at more than $6 billion. Additionally\, he led a team of 250 persons in the performance of planning\, procurement\, engineering\, project management\, construction management\, facilities management\, asset management\, sustainability\, and environmental assessment activities. \nMr. Rucker has a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Georgia. \n\n\nMichael Russell | H.J. Russell\nMichael Russell\, Chief Executive Officer\, succeeded his father Herman Russell\, who founded H. J. Russell & Company in 1952. She joined Jacobs after retiring at the age of 45 from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA)\, where she served as the Senior Director of External Affairs for MARTA for over fifteen years. Under her leadership\, she led the Office of Government Relations and the Office of Community Affairs. \nShe brings over 20 plus years of professional experience in the arenas of federal\, state and local government affairs. She was primarily responsible for the development MARTA’s of public policy\, and community outreach strategies. In addition to the aforementioned\, she was chiefly responsible for the authority’s legislative initiatives amounting to billions of dollars in funding for the Authority’s operational and capital budget. She was instrumental in the passage of recent transit legislation amounting to over $10.9B in transportation funding. \nRecently\, she was ranked 11th after Keisha Lance Bottom\, the Mayor of Atlanta as one of the “Top 100 Influential Women in Georgia”. Brad joined the JE Dunn team in 2006 and serves as a Senior Project Manager in the Commercial group for the Atlanta office. \nBrad currently lives in Roswell\, GA with his wife Jamie\, 8-year-old daughter Taylor\, 4 year old son Logan. He enjoys running\, playing tennis\, hacking around the golf course and coaching / spectating his kids’ sports teams. \n\nDavid Brown | TVS Design\nDavid is a Principal and member of the TVS Design Board of Directors. He works with and leads architects and intern architects on the design and construction of mixed use\, commercial\, and corporate office projects. \nHe served as project manager and design architect of the Duke Energy Center\, the focal point of the Levine Center for the Arts in Charlotte\, North Carolina. In 2012 this project received the prestigious ULI Global Award for Excellence. \nDavid has successfully managed large scale projects in multiple cities and timezones\, making him an integral member of our growing international firm. He is an effective team leader\, and his hands-on approach to project delivery makes him a true player-coach. Researchers\, architects and code writers have shown that attention to specific details in both new and retrofitted envelopes result in better performing buildings with better comfort and long durability as well as lower energy consumption. \nAir leakage through the building envelope is silent\, invisible and cunning. It causes numerous building envelope problems including wetting of cavity materials\, spalling of masonry\, premature corrosion of metals\, blistering of paint\, icicles\, staining of contraction. Continuity is important but strength is even more important. In buildings\, the air barrier system must be designed\, and specified on plans. It has specific performance criteria and specific material requirements. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nHow better building envelopes can reduce energy demand on heating and cooling and reduce energy and increase comfort.\nThe significance of each part of the building envelope (the top\, bottom\, vertical shafts and the walls) relative to the efficient operation.\nWhat problems can occur with the lack of compartmentalization and/or decoupling between floors in buildings over 3 stories?\nDiscover the materials and methodology used in air sealing school buildings.\n\n  \nSpeaker: \nSteven Tratt\, National Sales Manager\, Canam \nSteve has over 26 years of experience in the building envelope air barrier industry\, including expertise in air leakage testing and weatherization materials. He has worked extensively in the custom design of building science solutions for the education\, healthcare\, commercial and government markets. His material expertise includes two component polyurethane foam insulating air sealants\, door and window weather‐stripping\, fire stopping systems and air tightness testing equipment. \nSteve has trained building envelope retrofit contractors in both Canada and The United States and has made numerous presentations to a wide variety of trade associations. DESCRIPTION:Georgia has ridden the wave of economic growth that has been surging across the state since the end of the “Great Recession.” Unemployment is near all-time lows and consumer confidence is high. And much like the “Great Recession\,” which lasted longer than most economists predicted\, economic growth is also out-performing what many people anticipated.
