SUMMARY:"Lunch" & Learn - Site Selection
DESCRIPTION:Join CMAA-SAC for a presentation on traditional site selection presented and sponsored by Thomas & Hutton. The session will be followed by an in-office happy hour. \nTopic: Site selection consulting is the practice of identifying new locations for clients by considering multiple factors. Many firms view site selection as the assessment of land and/or existing structures but this only property evaluation. Full site selection has many additional facets and is the true beginning of the facility lifecycle. Site selection takes into consideration: material and transportation logistics studies\, workforce evaluations\, wage surveys\, land/building evaluations\, utility analysis\, permitting\, tax structures\, legal\, and incentive negotiations. Each of these areas are complex and requires an experienced professional to work through the process. \nEVENT REGISTRATION

SUMMARY:Scholarship Applications Deadline
DESCRIPTION:The CMAA-SAC Scholarship Foundation\, a 501(c)3 charitable organization\, will award a limited number of scholarships to qualified students as part of the Chapter’s ongoing efforts to provide the construction and design industries with a trained\, educated workforce. \nWith the South Atlantic Region and most parts of the country facing a construction workforce shortage\, CMAA-SAC decided the best way to help alleviate the problem was to have a dedicated foundation focused on the success\, not only of students in construction and architecture programs\, but those striving for trade degrees through the Technical College Systems across the Chapter geography.  The goal is to promote and enhance the delivery of the built environment by providing opportunities for continuous learning and improvement in the design\, construction and industry trades through professional development and practice. \nThe CMAA-SAC Scholarship Foundation is a self-supporting scholarship program and is a 501 (c) 3 designated organization so contributions are tax deductible as a charitable donation. \nPACKAGE COMING SOON
