After serving with Beacon through 2012\, John joined Thrive Senior Living in Atlanta\, GA as the V.P. of Operations. He has served in leadership positions in his church\, his local community and has led organizational efforts in civic responsibility. John served on the Board of Directors and is a Past President for the South Carolina Association of Residential Care Homes\, now known as SCALA. \n\nChris Adkins\, President\, Development and Construction | Mansions Senior Living \nChris is the President of Mansions Senior Living development and construction company. He also oversees all operating buildings with maintenance\, warranty\, and property improvements. He has worked with Mansions Senior Living since 2013 and has over 20 years’ experience in construction specializing in multi-family\, mixed use\, and senior housing. He has extensive knowledge in ADA\, fair housing\, code compliance\, and innovative building design. Prior to joining the Mansions team Chris worked with developers throughout the southeast including the position of Senior Project Manager for Trammell Crow. Before joining the construction industry\, Chris served as a Black hawk helicopter pilot in the US Army and has a bachelor’s degree in construction project management. \n\nAllen LaBerteaux\, Senior Life and Safety Officer | Fire Marshal’s Office – State of Georgia \n\n\n\nAllen LaBerteaux came to the State Fire Marshal’s Office in June of 2007\, as a Sr. Life Safety Engineer. Since that time\, he has taken on numerous responsibilities including Life Safety plan review for Healthcare\, Assisted Living/Personal Care Homes and Daycare Centers. He also assists the Georgia State Fire Marshal\, Dwayne Garriss\, with Variance requests\, code research and development of new regulations. \n\n\n\n  \n\nMODERATOR: \nShane Hornbuckle\, Principal | Van Winkle Construction \nShane Hornbuckle grew up on the job sites of his father’s construction company before joining Van Winkle in 1992. His personable demeanor and adaptable skills prove him a valued member of any project team. Shane oversees the company’s sales\, marketing\, and promotional initiatives. \nShane is a proud alumnus of Oglethorpe University and very involved with his local community. When he is not acting as a liaison for his church and charity organizations\, he enjoys hunting\, golf\, and playing with his dog Rosco.
